Hallmark is back with a mystery to solve this Christmas. Hallmark Movies & Mysteries is coming up with ‘USS Christmas’, a film that is replete with a curiosity awakening story, spirited festivity vibe, and charming characters. The movie will be a part of the network's annual ‘Miracles of Christmas’ programming event – 'your home for the holiday'. And indeed the movie is all about holidaying on a cruise and solving a mysterious love story that happened on ship fifty years back. Plot
The official synopsis of the movie reads, “It’s Christmastime in Norfolk, Virginia. Maddie Johnson (Lilley) is a reporter for the Norfolk Register who grew up in a military family. Maddie, her sister Lieutenant Amelia Breslan (Stefanie Butler), and her mother Elizabeth (Barbara Niven) are about to embark on a holiday Tiger Cruise. Once aboard the ship, Maddie bumps into Lieutenant Billy Jenkins (Donovan), a fighter pilot she met at a Navy Christmas gala a few days earlier. He’s focused with a bit of a chip on his shoulder. In the ship’s archive room, Maddie stumbles across an old journal from a sailor who fell in love on a Tiger Cruise over 50 years ago. As she sets out to track down the owner of the journal to see how the story ended, she’s forced to confront some of her own fears about military life.”

Barbara Niven as Elizabeth
Barbara is a multi-talented personality as she is an actress, producer, and speaker. She has an impressive career having featured in over 100 films and 2500 television and radio commercials. The revered personality has also served for over three years on the National Board of Directors for the Screen Actors Guild.The actress is not new to Hallmark, she has appeared in the superhit Hallmark Channel primetime series ‘Chesapeake Shores’ and is soon to star in another of Hallmark films ‘Christmas in Evergreen’.
