Uber driver who went on a shooting spree killing six claims he was possessed by the app
An Uber driver who was set to face trial after going on a killing spree in Michigan in 2016 that saw six people dead and two others critically injured surprised the court by confessing to the crime. 48-year-old Jason Dalton, the sole accused in the Kalamazoo shootings on the night of February 20, 2016, went against the advice of his defense attorney to plead guilty.
Following his capture the day after the shootings, Dalton was arraigned on a total of 16 charges, including six counts of murder, two counts of assault to commit murder, and eight counts of using a firearm during the commission of a felony. On Monday, January 7, with the jury selection set to begin for his trial, the 48-year-old announced he was intending to plead guilty, reported the Washington Post.
