Two girls, aged two and four, were found dead in a car with their 31-year-old mother in the front seat. It has been reported that the sisters, Izabel and Elise Chambers, died of heatstroke in the car. The bodies of the girls and their mother, Natalie Chambers, were found in their Ford Escape SUV in Forney, Texas, on July 23.

According to reports, the bodies were found almost 24 hours after Natalie told relatives she was taking her daughters to a play date. But family members got concerned when the mother did not go to the playdate in Grapevine on July 22. Natalie's car was caught in the surveillance footage of the parking lot where she was found dead with the little girls. Reports said no one was seen entering, approaching, or exiting the SUV during the 24 hours. The day when the incident happened, the temperature was 93 degrees Fahrenheit (33.8 degrees Celsius).

However, it was not clear how Natalie died. “We are all devastated that the girls had to witness such a tragedy and suffer themselves,” an unnamed relative said.

The deceased mother’s sister Jessica Purcell also paid a tribute to her sister and said: “Natalie was hilarious and charismatic and never met a stranger. She fiercely loved her girls and was an inspirational mother. I always used to tell her I’m glad she did it (motherhood) first so I can steal parenting tips from her. Izabel and Elise were happy and so very smart and witty. Izabel got her mom’s sassiness and Elise got her humor. They were beautiful and perfect. Our hearts are completely shattered.”

The official cause of Natlie's death has not been released yet.

"Our officers responded to the location, checked the area, and actually located the vehicle in the 4300 block of LBJ freeway," Detective Steven Rutherford told Daily Mail. "Upon contacting the occupants of the vehicle, the officers observed there were three occupants inside the vehicle and the tragic discovery was made that all three occupants of the vehicle were deceased."
