'Turtles All the Way Down': Cast and character guide on who's playing who in Max's Romantic drama film

'Turtles All the Way Down' is based on a novel of the same name by John Green

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: 'Turtles All the Way Down' is streaming on Max from May 2, 2024, and it tells the story of Aza Holmes (Isabela Merced), a young girl with a mental illness who tries to control her invasive thoughts while navigating life as a daughter and solving a mystery. 

Directed by Hannah Marks, who also stars in the role of Holly, the movie is adapted from the book of the same name by John Green. The plot revolves around a fugitive billionaire and Aza Holmes trying to get to him. 

The cast includes a mix of experienced and new actors. Here's a little bit more about the cast and characters of the series. 

Isabela Merced as Aza Holmes

Isabela Merced is an American actress and singer who hails from Cleveland, Ohio and was born to a Peruvian family 

She is known most for her roles in films like 'Transformers: The Last Knight', 'Sicario 2: Soldado', and 'Instant Family' and the Nickelodeon television series '100 Things to Do Before High School'

She has been acting from a very young age and made her Broadway debut at the age of 10. Her first film was 'The House That Jack Built' (2013). She played the lead role in the film 'Dora and the Lost City of Gold' (2019).

Cree Cicchino as Daisy Ramirez

Cree Cicchino is an American actress who began her career as a child actress playing the role of Babe in the series 'Game Shakers'. The lead role made her popular with the viewers of the show. 

 Netflix's comedy series 'Mr. Iglesias' was her next big break when she played the role of Marisol Fuentes. She also played an important role in the Netflix film 'The Sleepover'.

Hannah Marks as Holly

Hannah Marks is an actor and filmmaker who is known for her film 'After Everything' which won rave reviews at film festivals. In 2017, Hannah was named among Rolling Stone's '25 under 25 Artists Changing the World' 

As an actor, she played the main lead in 'Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency' in 2016, and in 2018, her short film 'BearGirl'  was a finalist for Sundance Ignite. 

She has also worked in Necessary Roughness in 2011 and  Weeds in 2005, both of which won great acclaim at international awards. 

Felix Mallard as Davis

Felix Mallard is an Australian actor born in Melbourne, Australia. He is known for his performance in the TV series 'Neighbours' where he played the role of Ben Kirk. 

He was also a part of the series 'Locke and Key' in 2020 where he played the role of Lucas Caravaggio. He also works as a musician and has worked in the music department of 'Neighbours vs. Time Travel'

Poorna Jagannathan as Dr. Singh

Poorna Jaganathan is an Amaerican actor of Indian origin. She became famous for her role in the HBO series 'The Night Of' where she played the role of Safar Khan 

She became popular with her portrayal of Nalini Vishwakumar in the series 'Never Have I Ever' on Netflix. 

On stage, she co-created and acted in the play Nirbhaya which is known to be an iconic play in the history of Indian women empowerment. 

Judy Reyes as Gina Holmes

Judy Reyes is an actor who is famous for her performance in the series 'Scrubs' where she played the role of 'Nurse Carla Espinosa'. She then featured in the series 'Devious Maids' as a regular character

She also starred in 'Succession' in the role of Eva and was acclaimed for her role of Thelma Garcia in the television film 'Torn from Her Arms'.
