A top aide for the former President Donald Trump has revealed that the ex-POTUS is "happier" now that he has left the White House and the spending his post-presidency at his Palm Beach resort, Mar-a-Lago, in Florida. Although he whined about the big tech trying to censure him, he is now reportedly glad that he was removed from Twitter following his January 6 speech that allegedly incited a group of his supporters to storm the Capitol, leaving five dead.

Despite an impending impeachment trial, Trump is "truly relaxed" for the first time in years, former campaign strategist Jason Miller said. Miller, who has worked closely with the ex-POTUS since the 2016 election, was able to witness first hand what Trump was feeling as he bid farewell to the White House for the last time. He was present on the Air Force One along with then-first lady Melania Trump, Ivanka Trump, Donald Trump Jr and other family members of the former president when all of them took off for Florida, choosing to skip the inauguration of the 46th president of the United States, Joe Biden.

“The president was in a very good mood upon leaving and there were some very tender moments with his family," Miller told the UK's Sunday Times."It was fun to have a front-row seat for that. The emotions ran the entire gamut. Some folks were very sad this day had come, but there was a sense of pride that this was the single most successful first term in US presidential history.”

He added: "This was the first time in years that I saw the president truly relaxed. Only 45 other people in US history have experienced what it is like to have the world on their shoulders ... and to be able to exhale, knowing that it's not all on you for the first time in four years." Trump is apparently enjoying his time in Florida playing golf with friends and hanging out with his tight circle of aides.

Contrary to a report that was published by Daily Beast last week which claimed that Trump was so frustrated by his Twitter ban that he was dictating insults against his enemies that he hoped that others would post on his behalf on social media. However, Miller told the publication that Trump has never been more relieved after having been kicked off the Twitter platform.

He told the Sunday Times: “The president has said he feels happier now than he’s been in some time. He’s said that not being on social media, and not being subject to the hateful echo chamber that social media too frequently becomes, has actually been good. That’s something the first lady has backed up as well. She has said she loves it, that he’s much happier and is enjoying himself much more.”

The ex-president is apparently also not worried about the upcoming trial in the Senate regarding his impeachment as he is “far and away the frontrunner” to run again in 2024. "There is no real scenario in which he is going to be convicted, so the pressure is completely off," Miller said.

In a separate interview with Breitbart, Miller added that there is a very decent chance that Trump could start his own social media platform. “I would expect that we will see the president reemerge on social media," Miller said. “Whether that’s joining an existing platform or creating his new platform... all options are on the table. A number of things are being discussed. Stay tuned because you know he’s going to be back on social media. We’re just kind of figuring out which avenue makes the most sense.”
