Michael Cohen says Trump asked him to threaten his schools, colleges to not release his grades
The testimony of Michael Cohen, President Donald Trump's former longtime lawyer and "fixer," to the House Oversight Committee on Wednesday involved quite a few bombshell revelations. While most of what Cohen said backed up what had already previously been reported, his testimony about how he was asked by Trump to threaten the president's former schools and colleges to stop them from releasing his grades and SAT scores was certainly new.
According to transcriptions of Cohen's testimony obtained by Politico, the lawyer told the House Oversight Committee, "I'm talking about a man who declares himself brilliant but directed me to threaten his high school, his colleges, and the College Board to never release his grades or SAT scores. As I mentioned, I'm giving the Committee today copies of a letter I sent at Mr. Trump's direction threatening these schools with civil and criminal actions if Mr. Trump's grades or SAT scores were ever disclosed without his permission."
