Trump Florida rally: Attendees faint from heat despite truck blasting water, POTUS labeled ‘one-man death camp’
A Trump rally held in Tampa, Florida on Thursday, October 29, has resulted in many attendees being rushed to hospitals for medical attention after gathering to witness the President's speech under 87-degree heat, which lasted for less than an hour.
While 17 people from the crowd needed immediate medical attention, dozens were taken to the hospital, according to NBC News. The event held outside of Raymond James Stadium saw a large crowd of mask-less supporters.
To curb the impact of the scorching sun, a fire truck was brought to spray water at the rear end of the rally, which was directed up in the air and made to rain down on some of the rallygoers, who had been reportedly waiting for hours. According to the reports, Tampa Fire Rescue said "one of the attendees fainted and another had a seizure. The other 10 who were taken to the hospital were just listed as 'sick' with no other details."
NBC reporter Monica Alba took to Twitter to share a video from the event which showed water being sprayed on the rallygoers. She captioned it, "It’s so hot here in Tampa (87 degrees) that there’s a truck blasting water at the back of the Trump rally crowd. Multiple people have passed out already, with supporters calling for medics every 5-10 minutes."

Soon, more and more people began slamming Trump for organizing a rally in Tampa despite the rising heat and not taking enough precautions. One tweeted, "So you have a Trump rally where many older people carried out on stretchers due to the cold and now Trumps rally in Tampa has people carried out on stretchers from the heat. He really is a one man death camp." Another added, "Yep and today trump rally goers were passing out from the heat in Tampa. You think he cares?"

Meanwhile, many of them are seen condemning Trump for the Omaha, Nebraska event, which was held recently and saw 30 rallygoers need medical attention after being stuck in the freezing cold for hours. According to NBC News, "Officials said seven were taken to area hospitals with a variety of ailments."
One Twitter user wrote, "At a Trump coronavirus party in Tampa, many present passed out from the intense heat. Two days ago, seven people who attended Donald's Nuremberg rally in Omaha were hospitalized from exposure to the bitter cold. Some say Trump's world will end in fire, Some say in ice." Another added, "10/29 #TrumpFails -17 ppl needed medical attention from heat at his Tampa rally today -30 ppl needed medical attention from cold at his Omaha rally 2 nights ago -almost no one wore masks or social distanced TRUMP DOESN'T CARE ABOUT YOU, ONLY YOUR VOTE."

The Trump campaign, however, blamed the "local road closure" for the delay at the Omaha rally. They told in a statement, "We always strive to provide the best guest experience at our events and we care about their safety."
Meanwhile, another Trump rally which was scheduled to take place in North Carolina on October 29 has been called off due to high winds. Trump told NBC, "Very bad weather, the wind was terrible. We were forced to do it for safety reasons. We're re-doing it on Monday"
