President Donald Trump's birthday ushered in some good news for the Republican National Committee (RNC) and the Trump campaign on Sunday, June 14, as they posted their largest online fundraising day ever, bringing in $14 million. The fund raised reportedly broke their previous online fundraising record of $10 million which was registered in October 2016.

Trump and the RNC have raised nearly $255 million over the period of over three years of campaigning. On the other hand, the Democratic National Committee (DNC) and former Vice President Joe Biden's fairly recent campaign has raised nearly $100 million.

As Trump turned 74 on June 14, the RNC, combined with Trump Make America Great Again Committee (TMAGAC) and Donald J Trump for President, Inc. (DJTP), received an average online gift of $46, according to Fox News. RNC Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel, while talking to the outlet, said: "Republicans are thinking smarter digitally and harnessing support and energy for President Trump to up our online fundraising game and outwork, outdo, and outmaneuver the Democrats at every turn."

The largest total fundraised for the campaign within 24 hours was recorded when Trump announced his reelection campaign last year, which brought nearly $25 million to the campaign's coffers.

Reports state that the online birthday card campaign for the president organized by the RNC and Trump campaign received 1 million signature alone.

Although Trump has outrun Biden in fundraising by a fair measure, the Democrat continues to lead the Republican in most national polling, including key battleground states in the country. It was reported over the weekend that the former vice president has been garnering significant female voter support, with recent live interview polls of registered voters from May and June by  The New York Times suggesting that Biden is leading among female registered voters by 59% to 35%.

Trump, however, has sought to aggressively head back on his campaign trail amid the coronavirus pandemic. His first major rally amidt the pandemic is scheduled in the coming weekend, reports state. Biden has continued to live-stream events in an attempt to follow social distancing protocols. However, his online events have garnered a relatively small number of viewers. Trump's campaign has called the lack of attention an enthusiasm gap.

Trump campaign manager Brad Parscale told the outlet: "The grassroots support behind President Trump’s reelection is something no campaign has ever seen. Just as more than a million people have registered for tickets to the President’s rally this weekend [in Oklahoma], they are also donating to help his campaign in record numbers. There is an enthusiasm gap — it is real and it is wide. President Trump’s supporters would run through a brick wall to vote for him. Nobody is running through a brick wall for Joe Biden.”

Top Biden surrogate Terry McAuliffe, in a videoconference meeting of Virginia Democrats, had recently said that he believes Biden should operate his campaign remotely due to the pandemic and that Democrats are largely "preferring" he stay out of the limelight, according to the outlet.
