Trump 74th birthday: POTUS champions strength of 'silent majority', internet tells him 'you're in denial'
As US President Donald Trump celebrated his 74th birthday amid the pandemic and protests on Sunday, June 14, the president raised a tweetstorm on social media, as many criticized him. The ongoing protests against police brutality began on May 26 after George Floyd, a 46-year-old African-American man was killed at the hands of police when former Minneapolis police officer, Derek Chauvin, kneeled on his neck for nearly nine minutes, despite pleas from Floyd that he could not breathe.
While Trump has taken to calling protesters "thugs" and talking about heavily criticized militarized responses, the protests have spread to all 50 states and even internationally. As Trump's popularity witnessed a dip in polls, the President tweeted on Sunday, June 14: "THE SILENT MAJORITY IS STRONGER THAN EVER!!!"
Many tweeted in response to Trump's tweet as the 2020 Presidential elections loom closer. One replied, "No, you’re just getting old," while another responded, "No, you’re thinking of your brain dead minority. Good try though! You almost got one!"
Another user opined, "No, you’re pretty loud and obnoxious," while a user wrote, "No. You’re part of a sad generation that is fading rapidly." Another responded, "No. You're a narcissist more concerned about your purity than about people dying, abandonment of WHO that directly involved in saving millions of people, mass unemployment, letting kids be ripped from families. In other words, someone with a narcissistic personality disorder."
A user responded, "No. You're an overbearing overblown hot air balloon driven minority powered by propaganda lies and hatred. You are neither "SILENT" nor a "MAJORITY," nor "STRONGER THAN EVER." Hitler and the Confederacy were stronger. Time will tell if you're as strong or as evil," while another wrote, "No. You're in denial about the extent to which your aides are lying to you. They want to keep you in some fairly land delusion that your poll numbers are good when you are failing magnificently. They know you will likely stroke out if you knew the truth."
A user tweeted, "No, you're going to lose so bad. no one will want to associate with such huge losers as the Trumps. Your name will live in infamy as an adjective for loser," while another opined, "No. You're weak, wimpier, and STILL trying to recycle old, racist dogwhistles from Nixon. "Law & Order," "Silent Majority," -- can't you come up with your own material, Spanky? Or is it too tough for you to get RAMPED up for it?"
He later tweeted referring to the Capitol Hill Autonomous Zone in Seattle, "Interesting how ANTIFA and other Far Left militant groups can take over a city without barely a wimpier from soft Do Nothing Democrat leadership, yet these same weak leaders become RADICAL when it comes to shutting down a state or city and its hard working, tax paying citizens!"
In response, a user tweeted, "No, you're the far-right RADICAL fascist who is an apologist for your best buddies - dictators Putin, MBS, Jong-Un, Bolsonaro, al-Sisi, Xi Jinping, Jong-Un, Erdoğan, Duterte, Orban, etc. ANTIFA is not responsible for any violence in the USA. Quit lying to the American people."
Another opined, "No. You're the person who supports tear-gassing peaceful clergy in order to pose with a Bible that you don't even read. No, You're the person that locks children in cages. No, you're who still won't admit the Central Park 5 are innocent."

Trump also tweeted, "Does anyone notice how little the Radical Left takeover of Seattle is being discussed in the Fake News Media. That is very much on purpose because they know how badly this weakness & ineptitude play politically. The Mayor & Governor should be ashamed of themselves. Easily fixed!"
