An American trophy hunter has been slammed by wildlife conservationists and animals rights advocates after a picture of him smirking while posing with the corpse of an endangered species of goat in Pakistan went viral on social media.
According to the Daily Mail, 64-year-old John Amistoso — a multi-millionaire who made his fortune through a chain of appliance stores across the US — traveled to the southeast Asian country last week to hunt the markhor, more commonly known as the screw-horned goat.
