Dirty hands won the second team challenge in the latest episode (July 15) but now, they had to go against each other in the individual challenge. For the latest individual challenge, all the cast members had to go through several cars to find the alternator in the car. The alternator is the part of the car that keeps it running.

Lee Marshall was happy to hear about the competition as he knew the ins and outs of cars. The person winning the competition had an advantage in the next round. This motivated all the cast members to go straight for the win but many struggled to understand what car they should choose to make sure they can find the alternator easily.

As everyone took their pieces, some struggled to find the part while others found it easily. Kelly “Murph” Murphy was the first one to find the part and earned the advantage for the next round. Meanwhile, Young An and Melissa Burns were the last ones.

This put them into overtime and the duo had to go against each other if they still wanted to keep running to win the $200,000 cash prize. The task for this week was to remove the rim from the tire. While the job might sound easy, there was a catch. The duo had to make use of tools to remove the rim from three tires.

Melissa struggled to understand what would be the right tool to use to get the job done. Meanwhile, Young seemed to get a hang of things. However, as time passed, things took a different turn. Melissa soon created a strategy that seemed to be working for her and she managed to get the first rim out in no time.

As she reached for the second tire, Young still struggled to get done with his first one. In no time, Melissa was done with the second one. However, Young came in and changed the game as he managed to get the second rim out in no time. Before anyone knew it, he was done with the third one also.

Young managed to stay in the game but Melissa had to tap out and lose her chance at winning $200,000. Fortunately for her, she will still be part of the show for group challenges.

'Tough as Nails' airs on Wednesdays at 8 pm ET on CBS.
