Raptors vs Celtics: Kyle Lowry gets kneed in the groin by Wanamaker, fans say he did a 'great acting job'
It's all happening between the Toronto Raptors and the Boston Celtics in Game 3 of the second round of the NBA Playoffs. At the time of writing, the scoreline read 93-91 as the Raptors churned out a slight edge, but it wasn't without a dose of drama on court. Kyle Lowry was kneed in the groin by Celtics Brad Wanamaker and the move saw the Raptors man go down. There was a massive debate on Twitter not just in terms of the play, but there was also some roasting for Lowry.
While some felt the move was something a person would writhe in pain at, some opined it was pure playacting. "Big Raptors guy, but Lowry is playing the wrong sport. He’s always rolling on the ground and whining about something. Should be a soccer player," wrote one of the fans.

And the thoughts on Lowry "acting" continued. "That was a great acting job. Dudes crawling around as he got hit by a shotgun blast," a fan tweeted.

Lowry wasn't the only one. "Kyle Lowry and Nick Nurse crying every two minutes making the Raptors into the second least liked team behind the clippers," one of the fans opined.

"Couldn’t have to happened to a more appropriate player.... knee don’t lie," read one of the comments.

And the memes followed. "No more family members coming out of those jewels," a fan tweet read.
That he was fouled was another topic of debate but that didn't stop fans from still roasting Lowry. "His manhood healed up pretty quick when they confirmed that the foul was in him..." a comment read.

One of the fans theorized: "How else do you jump into the air on a drive to the basket? Lowry initiated contact. Show me a way to jump off one foot without raising a knee. Sucks he got hit but its not Wanamakers fault."

And to end with, here's a bit of a nasty one: "Lowry stop acting like a b***h this is what happens when you challenge someone at the rim."

As far as game news goes, the Raptors will be looking at notching up a win here as a loss would mean Celtics taking a 3-0 lead, making it all but difficult to even have a fighting chance.
