Competition can make people do weird things. Brian Malarkey is acing it currently with his ranking list on Bravo's 'Top Chef.' The San Diego-based chef maintains a log, in which he jots down names of fellow contestants, whom he thinks has a chance of packing the knives.

In tonight's episode, he struck off Lee Anne Wong's name, with whom he has had issues since the beginning of the show. In the premiere episode's elimination challenge, Lee Anne and Brian were working together to create an interesting menu for the guests using just a fire pit and a handful of ingredients.

During the task, Lee Anne managed to burn the fish by placing it on an unseasoned hot grill. The technical error could have cost them their places in the show, but thankfully Joe Sasto took the heat and was eliminated following an unimpressive dish.

That was not the end of their cold war. Previously, Brian had missed seasoning Lee Anne's dish, which made it wanting some salt and oily-ness. Even though he apologized multiple times, Lee Anne wasn't convinced and thought he threw her under the bus.

The tension between the two is unreal and unsettling. And it would only be fair if he would want to cancel Lee Anne from his list. Meanwhile, fans thought it was not a great move.

"Malarkey is a f**king d**kwad. Is it a shock that 90% of the brown ppl and [colored] women are at the bottom of his list? #topchef," a fan shared while another wrote:  "Malarkey knows how to make good tv...what a d**k! But a funny one #TopChef #TopChefAllStars."

"I really hope they were shading Malarkey with that ranking segment #TopChef," another viewer wrote. "I am just now realizing Malarkey is a jerk. I hope he goes next. #TopChef," a user tweeted. "He was literally in the bottom the last episode but made himself top of the list," one fan pointed out.

Interestingly, Brian got sent to the bottom three for creating a  relish that didn't sit well with judges Padma Lakshmi, Tom Colicchio and Gail Simmons. Guest judge Nancy Silverton even said the purpose of relish to a protein is to enliven it and not make it muddy.

However, Jennifer Carroll got sent home for her chunky ginger-lemon sauce, which, when mixed with yogurt lost all its flavor. Catch all the new episodes of 'Top Chef' on Bravo every Thursday.
