Deadly earthquake and tsunami hits Indonesia's island of Sulawesi

A Black Rhino that lost its horns to poachers in Zimbabwe

The poachers left the black rhino for dead with multiple AK47 bullet wounds. This bull recovered briefly and survived for close to a week in "unimaginable pain and confusion" before succumbing to its injuries. Currently, the species is on the severely endangered list.
