'Too Hot To Handle': Did Haley not form a bond with other contestants because she was attracted to Francesca?
What do you get if you put 10 of the hottest, horniest, commitment-phobic singles from around the world together in a tropical paradise? Drama! Netflix's new reality TV series, 'Too Hot To Handle' dropped with Season 1 and the temptations in this luxury no-bone zone are out of the world.
The series brings in 10 of the hottest singles who have the assumption that they are in for an exotic and erotic summer, but little did they know, they had a huge twist waiting for them just 12 hours into the show. While being in a no-bone zone was definitely hard for these singles, most of them did make the effort to create bonds and relationships during their time there, except one person — Haley Cureton.
The twist is, these singles who are practically used to having sex often will have to give up all their heavy petting. The island is equipped with a virtual guide named Lana, who keeps a watch over these contestants. They will not be able to kiss, no heavy petting, no sex of any kind, and not even self-gratification. If they do, a particular amount will be deducted from their prize money of $100,000.
With Lana on the watch, she analyzes the guests and their behavior in order to help them on the path towards better relationships. They'll have to adhere to the rules that the retreat offers. The series also hosted a number of workshops to help these contestants develop connections and take a step away from meaningless flings. It helped the contestants form deeper emotional connections and personal relationships.
While most of the contestants formed bonds and relationships or at least tried their best to, there was one singleton who didn't, and that was Haley. Haley was in a sorority in her college and has been to a lot of frat parties. During her introduction, she revealed that though her eyes go for a perfect man, she also loves women who have blonde hair, are skinny and have big boobs.
Haley was also the first contestant to get eliminated from the series because she failed in every rule given. She showed no sign of personal growth, didn't obey the rules and showed insufficient progress. But what came as shock was that Haley was quite happy to leave and found everyone lame except Francesca who she was close to. The two were stuck like glue, even though Francesca made connections.
It all started after Harry and Francesca shared a kiss that cost them and the entire group $3,000 from their prize money. After Harry turned the entire group against Francesca affirming that she was the one who initiated the kiss, Haley, and Francesca began to plot revenge against them and cost the group more money.
In order to do that, the two decided the best way to plot revenge was by sharing a kiss and put the blame on Rhonda and Sharron who sneaked out at night to have some time alone. While for Francesca, it was all about revenge, it seemed like it was something more for Haley who clearly seemed way attracted towards her.
Even when she was eliminated, Haley in front of the entire group revealed that everyone except Francesca was lame. With Haley already revealing that she is attracted to women, it seemed like the person who she bonded with the most was Francesca and was clearly drawn to the contestant too. Which could be the reason why she didn't try to pursue or create a bond with anyone else on the series.
