NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: ‘Today’ weather reporter Al Roker recently had an embarrassing on-air moment after guest Erin Andrews called him her ‘boyfriend’.

On Tuesday’s ‘Today’ broadcast, Andrews was a guest and she freaked out when she met Roker and crashed his live weather segment.

Fox sportscaster Andrews appeared on the morning show and sat down with Hoda Kotb and Savannah Guthrie as she shared her experience of welcoming her first child this year after battling infertility for nearly a decade.

The 45-year-old also discussed the challenges of being a working mom and missing significant moments in her baby's life. She became emotional as she reflected on the profound experience of finally becoming a mother.

Andrew and the hosts also went on to discuss her role in bringing Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce together after she invited the singer to consider giving Travis a chance on her podcast back in August.

Al Roker’s embarrassing on-air moment

Towards the end of the interview, Andrew had a surprise moment when she realized that Roker was also present, which left her pleasantly surprised and excited. Hoda Kotb asked the guest, “Can you do us a favor? Al is over there doing the weather. He needs your assistance.”

Andrews let out an excited exclamation and hurried over to the meteorologist and the weather board. Roker asked her, “Is it true that you told Seth Meyers that if you didn't do sports, you'd want to do weather?”

She affirmed the information and extended her congratulations to him for becoming a grandfather. Following this, she playfully delivered a mock weather forecast.

Upon asking Roker for fashion advice regarding her attire for the weekend in Baltimore, he suggested a lightweight blazer. Andrews gasped in response and humorously confessed, "I'm sweating."

She said, “You’re my Taylor Swift.”

Confused Roker added, “I’m your Taylor Swift?”

Andrews admitted, “I am freaking out.”

Roker then asked her if she wanted a hug and when Andrews hugged him, she sang, “Karma is my boyfriend”, the lyrics from Swift’s song ‘Karma’.

She then teased Roker, “Al Roker’s my boyfriend,” to which Roker laughed before throwing it to commercial, “Whoa! You heard it here first.

Al Roker’s tripping words

Al Roker experienced another recent on-air moment of embarrassment.

Earlier this month, he stumbled over his words before swiftly correcting himself. During this particular segment, he was joined by characters from the movie ‘Despicable Me’ at Universal Studios.

The 69-year-old provided a "first look" at the new Minion Land in Florida at the Orlando location. The segment on ‘Today’ featured Roker in a blue polo shirt and a beige fedora, with the bright daylight surroundings filled with the iconic big, yellow characters.

"Hey guys!" he cheerfully exclaimed while emerging from behind a large Minion. "It's only fitting that I'm surrounded by my Minion buddies. Because we're here in the brand new Minion Land!"

He continued, "Gru's mischievous henchmen..." but paused to correct himself, recognizing that not all Minions may necessarily be male.

"Or hench people," he awkwardly corrected himself, making an inclusive reference. "They've taken over the main drag here."
