'Thor: Love and Thunder' almost had a Kate Bush dance number. It didn't make the final cut of the movie according to Christian Bale who in a recent interview revealed that there was a Bush-inspired groovy scene in the fourth Thor installment. Safe to say, the singer's stock has seen a meteoric rise, thanks to 'Stranger Things' Season 4. Her iconic 'Running Up the Hill' was one of the more streamed songs so far in the year after the track became a pivotal part of the hit Netflix horror series.

Bale will be making his maiden MCU debut as Gorr the God Butcher in 'Love and Thunder', and in a recent interview with Total Film, he shed light on some of the influences behind his terrifying villain. According to 'The Dark Knight' star, director Taika Waititi had a vision for Gorr that originally included a Kate Bush dance break but didn't make it into the final cut.

'Thor: Love and Thunder' opening scene LEAKED? Reddit theory says movie starts with Gorr's origin story

"There's obviously sort of a Nosferatu slight attitude," Bale opined. "Taika and I wanted to do a whole dance, which we didn't get to do, but we had all this sort of Kate Bush stuff that we worked at," Bale said. "But I think he just realized he was never going to be allowed to put that in the final film." He also added that there was another track that helped him get into the Gorr mindset. "I would say that the most common thing I was staring at was the Aphex Twin video of 'Come To Daddy'. But I don't even know if that will be in the final film."

"Actually, it stayed in our heads. I think we realized that this was probably never gonna end up in a movie," he said. While trailers of the movie have hinted at enough comic relief, the villain does have a tragic past that makes him the antagonist he is. Perhaps, a music number would have taken away the seriousness of his character, especially after he is touted as the best MCU villain in Phase 4.

Earlier, there were rumors of the movie's opening scene exploring the origins of Bale's Gorr the God Butcher. The official synopsis reads, "Thor embarks on a journey, unlike anything he's ever faced — a quest for inner peace. However, his retirement gets interrupted by Gorr the God Butcher, a galactic killer who seeks the extinction of the gods. To combat the threat, Thor enlists the help of King Valkyrie, Korg, and ex-girlfriend Jane Foster, who — to his surprise — inexplicably wields his magical hammer. Together, they set out on a harrowing cosmic adventure to uncover the mystery of the God Butcher's vengeance."

'Thor: Love and Thunder' releases July 7 in the US.
