LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: One of Netflix’s most popular fantasy adaptations, ‘The Witcher’ is out with the first part of its third season. The first part ended with Geralt and Yennever finally learning about the person responsible for all those sickening experiments to destroy Princess Ciri and Yennefer calling for a Northern alliance against the Nilfgaardian empire. The first part of the third season stayed close to its source material and allowed for a more cohesive bond to blossom between its three leading characters — Geralt, Ciri, and Yennefer.

The season has also introduced a big supporting cast who have all played their respective roles to near perfection. It might be disappointing for many fans to learn that this might be the last time that they witness Henry Cavill in ‘The Witcher’ as the star is set to leave after the third season ends. From the fourth season, Liam Hemsworth is set to take on the role of ‘The Witcher’ and carry the franchise forward. But there are still a few episodes due to come out that will conclude Henry Cavill’s journey on the show.

When does ‘The Witcher’ Season 3 Part 2 come out?

The second part of ‘The Witcher’ will release on July 27, 2023, on Netflix. The subsequent volume will see Geralt, Princess Ciri, and Yennefer continue their epic journey across the continent.

How many episodes are in ‘The Witcher’ Season 3 Part 2?

The second part of the third season of ‘The Witcher’ will have three episodes, with an expected run time equivalent to its predecessors of 60-70 minutes.

What is ‘The Witcher’ Season 3 Part 2 about?

The second part will have the remaining three episodes of the third season. These episodes will show Geralt and Yennefer travel down the rabbit hole to unravel the mystery of Vilgefortz’s plan for Princess Ciri. Vilgefortz has ties with Emhyr var Emreis, Ciri's father, and might be working with him to bring Ciri back to Nilfgaard to his father. But given Vilgefortz’a ambitious nature, it might be interesting to see how he uses Ciri to his advantage. Will he use Ciri’s blood to become more powerful or side with Emhyr to rule the continent when Nilfgaard defeats the northern alliance?

What happened in ‘The Witcher’ Season 3 Part 1?

Yennefer has united the Brotherhood in their inevitable war against Nilfgaard, which is currently ruled by Emhyr var Emreis, Ciri's father. Geralt and Ciri arrived at Aretuza near the end of the first part of the third season with the belief that Stregobor is supporting Rience in his pursuit to kidnap Ciri. But Yennefer and Geralt learn that it was Vilgefortz who was behind all the shady experiments to kidnap Ciri. Vilgefortz tried to convince Geralt to join the cause of the sorcerers but Geralt’s neutrality throws him off. After Yennefer and Geralt learn about Vilgefortz’s intentions, it has become incredibly important for them to pick a side.
