'The Walking Dead' Season 10: With Maggie set to make a comeback, Negan's death might be around the corner
'The Walking Dead' Season 10 is all set to return from its mid-season break with a crop of explosive new episodes, the first of which, Episode 9 'Squeeze', will be airing shortly. Going into the second half of the season, we have got a number of questions on our minds but right at the top is this: Will this be the season when Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) finally bites the dust?
The wily psychopath has survived a lot over the years and his loyalties have flip-flopped more than the show's writing quality but as of now, he is once again a threat to our protagonists. As a member of the Whisperers, Negan is bound to become a menace in Season 10b but his reign of terror might not last for long with his one true enemy set to make her return.
If anyone is going to kill Negan, it ought to be Maggie Greene (Lauren Cohan), considering everything he's done to her, and with the actor all set to return to the show after leaving at the end of Season 9. The character's return was first teased back in October 2019 by showrunner Angela Kang, who suggested that Cohan's return might actually happen in the ongoing season itself.
"We may see her at some other point this season but I don’t want to say too much about anything," Kang told EW.
"The idea that Maggie's kind of out there in the world up to things and that they’re thinking about her has been seeded in for a while," she added. "So she’s definitely on our characters’ minds as they’re dealing with all this stuff going on and realizing that some of the people that are really capable and wonderful that they love are just out there and inaccessible to them at the moment."
'The Walking Dead' Season 10 will be back on AMC on February 23 at 9/8 c.
