'The Walking Dead' Season 10 Episode 9: Carol puts the team in danger, fans say enough with her 'bull****'
Spoiler alert for 'The Walking Dead' Season 10 Episode 9 'Squeeze'
The AMC hit based on the comic book series written by Robert Kirkman, 'The Walking Dead' made it to its midseason premiere and fans couldn't be more thrilled.
While the show moved its narrative from the fear of zombies to the capabilities of certain survivors, it has taken a wild turn to say in the least. The pressure to stay alive amidst flesh-eating zombies has taken a back seat as the fear starts to escalate when survivors are running away from the most inhumane of activities.
The season's midseason premiere titled, 'Squeeze' focused on the narrative that saw Daryl Dixon (Norman Reedus) and company try to break out of the cave that they are trapped in with the Walkers. With dynamite found by Jerry seen as an only option, Carol Peletier's (Melissa McBride) claustrophobia takes over. Connie (Lauren Ridloff) and Daryl try to calm Carol but instead it resulted in not only a shocking turn of events but another cliffhanger as well. Are we really ready for more deaths?
Carol's plan to kill half of the bloodthirsty horde results in Connie and Magna (Nadia Hilker) being trapped under the rubble while the rest of them manage to get out. Obviously, fans wasted no time to throw shade at the series' long time character holding her responsible for the fates of the Connie and Magna. "I mean I get Carol is grieving but she literally put everyone in danger because she can't get her emotions together and see the bigger picture #TheWalkingDead," tweeted a frustrated fan. "Man I’m f****** tired of Carol and her bullshit f*** me man, why’d y’all have to do Connie and Magna like that #TheWalkingDead," tweeted another.
Carol has been responsible for saving people more times than we can count, so we're hoping she can get back into our good graces as the series moves on. "I never thought I could hate Carol... But this episode of #TheWalkingDead has accomplished that. She really messed up big time," tweeted another fan. Doesn't look like Carol is going to get out of this mess soon though.
Fans took the betrayal with a heavy heart with another tweeting, "Carol’s action in the cave are no different than Rosita shooting at Negan, Tara putting the group at risk to try and kill Dwight, Rick pulling a gun on the Alexandrians, etc. Putting the group in danger on the quest for revenge is NEVER okay. #TheWalkingDead."
Fans also brought up the series' quiet yet badass characters' potential love interest as they tweeted about Connie "Carol you are personally responsible for killing a potential love interest for Daryl you a cold-hearted b**** #TheWalkingDead."
As for Connie and Magna, fans have not lost hope, "Daryl isn’t going to give up. He’s going to get Magna & Connie out of that cave even if it kills him. He doesn’t leave people behind. #TheWalkingDead," tweeted a fan, hoping Daryl will save the day.
The Walking Dead' Season 10 airs on Sundays at 9 pm EST on AMC.
