The Knockouts had premiered in Episode 9 of ‘The Voice’ Season 19 and continuing the selection process, the Knockouts continued in Episode 10. Singers Desz and Sid Kingsley opened the new episode from Kelly Clarkson’s team. Before hitting the stage, both the contestants got crucial tips from mega mentor Usher.

Desz opted for ‘Can We Talk’ while Sid covered the hit single ‘Make It Rain.’ Coach Kelly was absolutely floored when both the artists performed their respective songs as she stood on her seat right through their performances. Even John Legend could not resist but stand up and enjoy Desz’s cover for the knockout. Legend also gave a standing ovation to Sid after his performance ended. After earning praises from all the judges, it was time to choose one for the Live show. In what was a tough call, Kelly chose Desz adding that she hoped someone steals Sid. And guess what? The real twist came when Legend pressed the red buzzer and so did Blake Shelton in order to steal Sid for their respective teams. After both the coaches tried convincing him, Sid ultimately went for Shelton.

The Internet was quick to react to the opening performance of the episode. One user said, “Desz was absolutely incredible OMG that voiceeee #TheVoice” One asserted, “Sid Kingsley impresses me every time he opens his mouth. Such a pleasing tone with just an overtone of gruff. He is so comfy behind the piano, fierce on the vocal. Growl out them notes bro. #TheVoice #VoiceKnockouts” Another added, “@kellyclarkson #VoiceKnockouts So glad you chose Desz! She is the Voice!” One posted, “@NBCTheVoice I knew Desz would be chosen to move on to the Live Playoffs.  But Sid got stolen by John and Blake, what a way to kickoff tonight’s #VoiceKnockouts.” One tweeted, “I'm not sure why Kelly paired Sid Kingsley and Desz. Both are vocal juggernauts!! If I was their coach, I would be doing everything in my power to take both to the live shows.”

The Knockouts premiered in the last episode where we saw Tamara Jade winning the round over Casme from Legend’s team while the mother-daughter trio Worth the Wait was picked by Shelton. However, their country singer opponent Ben Allen was saved by Gwen Stefani. Speaking of Gwen’s team, we saw Payge Turner moving to the next round and unfortunately, her opponent Ryan Berg had to head home with no save or steal from other coaches. Mega mentor Usher was also introduced in the segment, where he along with the coaches, gave crucial tips to the contestants.

The new season of ‘The Voice’ is being hosted by Carson Daly. Season 19 episodes will be aired on NBC. Fans can also catch the singing reality show on the official website of NBC and on their official app along with the network's new streaming service Peacock.  Also, we will see Nick Jonas returning as a judge on NBC’s ‘The Voice’ in Season 20 replacing Gwen. The American crooner earlier sat on the big red chair in Season 18.
