'The Voice' Season 19: Ian Flanigan wins instant save round, fans say 'America chose right'

Excited fans hoped for Ian Flanigan's win on 'The Voice', after he secures a spot among the top 5 on the show

Both Blake Shelton and America seems to be smitten by Ian Flanigan's raspy and gravelly voice. Since day 1, 'The Voice' coach Blake has gone gaga over  Ian's unique voice and took every opportunity to praise him for it. Before every vote, Blake personally requests the audience to vote for Ian, as he has a one-of-a-kind voice. Blake's requests were well-received for the singer always managed to breeze through the competition because he always had majority votes. However, things took a different turn when during the semi-finals round, Ian was pitted against his fellow fan-favorite contestant- Jim Ranger.

Both Jim and Ian have been top contenders from Team Blake, so the audience was divided when it came to voting for their favorite performance. Eventually, when the results were announced, it was revealed that Jim managed to secure maximum votes from the audience and earned a spot among the top 5 to perform in the finals. Thankfully, Ian's journey on the show didn't come to an abrupt end as the remaining contestants who didn't secure maximum votes could compete for a spot in the top 5, by competing in the instant save round. 

Ian had to compete against reigning favorite contestants from other teams like Cami Clune, Tamara Jade, Ben Allen and Bailey Rae. All the contestants gave their best performance in order to secure a spot among the top 5. When it was time for the audience to vote for their favorite performer, Ian secured maximum votes. After it was announced that Ian would be a finalist, fans were thrilled. Many fans took to their Twitter to express their joy over him making it to the finals.

A fan tweeted, ".@blakeshelton #VoiceResults So happy Ian is still in the competition. His voice gives me warm fuzzies!" Another fan wrote, "Wooooooooo!!!! Ian made it back in! America chose right! #TheVoice." "And there you have it. The final Finalist for #TheVoice Finale is... Ian Flanigan. Congrats man. You really deserve it. #VoiceResults," commented a fan.

Fans also began declaring Ian as the winner of the show. A fan shared, "OMG YES YES YES!! You are already a winner Ian Flanigan. Bottom line America really wants to hear YOUR MUSIC! @IanFlanigan @blakeshelton @NBCTheVoice #TheVoice #FANigans." "AMERICA VOTED and has saved @IanFlanigan from #TeamBlake! Congratulations Ian and @BlakeShelton Go for the WIN #TeamBlake!! #TheVoice," expressed another fan. "I am so glad Ian made it through he is my last team member. I hope he wins it all..@blakeshelton #VoiceResults," echoed another fan. 

'The Voice' Season 19 airs every Monday and Tuesday at 8/7c only on NBC.
