Country Singer Ben Allen was one of the contestants in the blind auditions in Season 19 of ‘The Voice’, where he covered Books & Dunn's popular number, ‘Red Dirt Road.’ The 42-year-old singer from Florida, who shared his personal tragedy behind the scenes, managed to impress Blake Shelton just within a few seconds. Gwen Stefani was the second coach to press the red buzzer, followed by an equally interested John Legend.

The trio seemed absolutely mesmerized by Allen’s stellar performance. It would have been a 4-chair turnaround, however, Kelly Clarkson did not seem to be impressed with his singing skills. While praising Ben Allen, Gwen said, “Your voice on that song sounded like a record. It was so clear, strong and confident and I think, you have a lot of potential and I would love to work with you.” Even though Kelly did not turn around her red chair but she did say that Ben Allen might make it to the finale.

After Blake, John and Gwen tried convincing Ben to choose them, it was #TeamBlake who finally bagged the very talented singer. The Internet also loved his performance. One user said, “I do believe we have witnessed the first performance of this year's winner!  I'm saying it now! Ben Allen is gonna be this year's voice winner!” Another expressed, “I think Blake has his winner for this season!!” One user said, “I think Ben Allen woke up the voice he is a winner coach.” Another added, “I'm not even a country music fan, but that first phrase of Ben Allen's audition was insane. One of the most authentic country performances ever on #TheVoice”
