The drama and the twists of the battles round continued in Episode 8 of the ‘The Voice’ Season 19. While Blake Shelton opted for Ian Flanigan over Aaron Scott, John Legend snubbed Rio Sauma and chose Casme as his favorite for the Knockout challenge. In another round, Legend picked Cami Clune over James Pyle and taking complete advantage of the situation, Blake used the “steal” option for Pyle to make sure his journey continues in the singing reality show. Kelly Clarkson, on the other hand, went for Marisa Corvo but also saved Ryan Gallagher to advance them in the Knockout round. Gwen Stefani picked Ryan Berg over Liam St John.

Blake Shelton pairs Ben Allen and Sam Stacy on Zac Brown Band song ‘Free’ in the next episode and picks the former saying, “I chose Ben because America is going to fall in love with the sound of his voice which is twangy country.” Gwen, on the other hand, picks Van Andrew over Tori Miller after they cover Taylor Swift and Bon Iver’s ‘Exile’in the next episode saying, “I want to go with the person that helps keep improving” adding, “I am just really in love with Van.
