'The Voice' Season 18 Episode 3: Blake Shelton blocks Nick Jonas for Joei Fulco and fans say 'great catch'
Blake Shelton used his only block on Nick Jonas, for a potential winner when 'The Voice' Season 18 returned on Monday night.
'The Voice' Season 18 returned on Monday night for round three of the blind auditions, as hopeful contestants gathered to sing their hearts out to the coaches hoping to get at least a chair turn from either Blake Shelton, Kelly Clarkson, Nick Jonas or John Legend.
Over the past two episodes, we've witnesses John and Nick use their blocks, and the only two remaining with their block were Blake and Kelly.
So far, Nick and Blake seem to be having each other's back when it comes to Kelly, as they try to steal the contestants from her. However, Blake decided to bring on a little friendly rivalry between him and Nick for Joei Fulco.

Joei is a 22-year-old who hails from Lancaster CA. She performed a stunning rendition to 'Gypsys, Tramps & Thieves' by Cher. 'The Voice' is known for its pre-taped video package. Surprisingly we do not get one for Joei. In fact, we do not get to see her until Blake turned his chair for her.
Her deep and raspy voice doesn't just get Blake to turn his chair, but he blocked Nick too in the process. When Nick turned his chair, he was surprised to see that he was blocked by Blake.
After her performance, Kelly called her an old school sound. Joei revealed she wants to sing country rock because she grew up in a musical family. With Nick blocked, Joei joined Team Blake.
Taking to Twitter, fans said that Blake did well by blocking Joei and getting her onto his team. "Great catch with Joei!!@blakeshelton #VoiceBlinds," a fan wrote. Another fan said, "@blakeshelton #VoiceBlinds Great use of your block Blake, Joei was a good choice."
