'The Voice' Season 17 fans slam Blake Shelton for listening to Gwen Stefani and choosing Kat over Josie

Though Gwen gave her own raving reviews to Josie, in the end, she told Blake that if it were up to her, she would pick Kat as the winner. When it came to the time of revealing the winner, Blake chose Kat, eliminating Josie from the competition.

The last thread holding fans from lashing out at Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani has officially cut as they slammed Blake for listening to Gwen and saving Kat Hammock instead of Josie Jones.

'The Voice' Season 17 returned for a new episode on Monday night. We got to see the last set of Blind Auditions as the coaches filled up their teams and entered the Battle Rounds.

This season, the Battle Round advisors are Normani for Team Kelly, Usher for Team Legend, will.i.am for Team Gwen and Darius Rucker for Team Blake.

With just three battle round performances done, we already witnessed two saves. But what shocked everyone was the battle between Kat and Josie from Team Blake. The duo battled it out against each other to John Denver’s 'Take Me Home, Country Roads'.

Josie has power in her voice and that is something that all four coaches addressed after the performance. But they also added that Kat has a unique set of vocals.

Giving their comments on the performance, John Legend said, "I think Kat's voice is more intriguing, but Josie gave a better performance, technically."

"The fact is that Josie, you have this range... when you started harmonizing with Kat and all that really high harmony, and holding it down and so controlled, at the age of 16, is incredible," Kelly Clarkson commented.

Though Gwen gave her own raving reviews to Josie, in the end, she told Blake that if it were up to her, she would pick Kat as the winner. When it came to the time of revealing the winner, Blake chose Kat, eliminating Josie from the competition.

Though Kat and Josie are unique in their own way and there could be only one winner, this decision of Blake's didn't sit well with a few fans who said he should stop listening to Gwen and play his own cards.

They shared that even though Josie was the better singer, he ended up choosing Kat just because Gwen said so.

Taking to Twitter, a fan wrote, "@blakeshelton #TheVoice I chose josie over Kat. Blake, don't let gwen play your seat and hers. I'm hoping this won't be a problem for you. This is still a competition."

Another fan added, "@blakeshelton #TheVoice Blake I love you. But you don't need to listen to Gwen. As much as I liked Kate.. Josie was the clear winner. I loved her. Remember You want your team to win not Gwen's. I love you and I love your songs. ALL of them. You are one AWESOME!!"

"@ Blake Shelton #TheVoice judge for your self it was obvious you went with Gwen and let Josie go she was awesome !!" wrote a fan.

Another shared, "It seemed like Gwen told Blake who to pick in that last battle. I think Josie had the better voice, but she barely got to sing any of that song. #TheVoice2019 #TheVoice."

"@blakeshelton #TheVoice Bummer Blake you should have chosen Josie. Let Gwen steal if she wants kat," a fan shared.

Do you think Blake made the right decision? 'The Voice' Season 17 airs every Monday and Tuesday night only on NBC. Check your local listings for more information.
