Who is Constance Howard on 'The Voice' Season 22?
Constance Howard is a 28-year-old elementary school teacher from Texas. She attended Morton Ranch High School and graduated from the University of Houston. Constance recently posted a clip of her elementary school students performing alongside her on a recent Instagram post.
Constance started off as a singer in a choir, but owing to her shy nature she avoided singing before crowds. But upon her parents' encouragement and support, the Texas native began to open up and sing before the audience. Under her stage name Vicci Constance, she released two singles- 'Love You' in 2017, and 'All Mine' in 2019.
For her blind audition performance on 'The Voice', Constance picked Justin Bieber's hit track 'Peaches'. She left the judges tongue-tied b putting her own spin to the hit pop number. As she shuttled between high notes and unbelievable whistles, Camila Cabello and John Legend turned their chairs for her. Even though Gwen Stefani and Blake didn't turn for her, they showered her with praises. Gwen declared that she sounded like a recording artist who has already been signed to a recording company. While Blake couldn't stop raving about her flawless notes that left him with many feelings.
John gave her very high praise by comparing her to legendary artists like Minnie Riperton, thanks to her high notes, and also Rihanna, as Constance too put a Caribbean- African spin to her performance. Camila tried persuading the singer to join her team by pointing out how she only had one spot left and wanted somebody with a unique voice like hers on the team. While we will have to wait and watch to see whose team Constance decides to join, in the meanwhile, fans are already in awe of her vocals.
A fan commented on the show's YouTube clip of her performance, "Constance has an amazing voice! I loved her pure tone and loved her control on the song and of her voice. Those whistle notes was fantastic and knocked me off my seat because I was blown away. Great job! Love this song too." "What she did is so freaking hard smh. In & out of the falsetto and chest voice and her tone is super unique. The range though #BeautifulVoice," wrote a fan. "Her version didn't sound like a Justin Bieber song, it's Constance's song!" declared a fan. "I am now going to pre-order Constance Howard's cd. Your voice made me so happy. The best! Love from Massachusetts," added a fan.
'The Voice' Season 22 airs every Monday and Tuesday at 8/7c on NBC.
