LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: The intriguing world of espionage and intrigue is brought to life in the gripping thriller series 'The Veil', which follows Imogen Salter (Elisabeth Moss) as she battles to discover Adilah El Idrissi's (Yumna Marwan) true identity.

The fourth episode of Steven Knight's show illuminates Imogen and Adilah's developing relationship despite their mutual concealment of secrets.

However, things take a sharp turn when Imogen is attacked by a bunch of terrorists as instructed by Emir (Alec Secareanu), and in an unexpected twist of events, Adilah opposes executing Imogen.

Why did Emir get Imogen Salter attacked in 'The Veil' Episode 4?

The previous episode saw Adilah getting a text asking her to bring 'her' to a certain location. The identity of 'her' was finally revealed in the most recent episode, when Adilah brings Imogen to a club where Emir was waiting.

Emir and Adilah are shown exchanging words where Adilah begs the man not to hurt Imogen. Imogen spots the duo and rushes to confront Emir, but the man flees.

In an unexpected turn of events, Imogen finds herself under attack as she struggles to defend herself from armed men.

Enraged, Imogen inquired about the relationship between Emir and Adilah, but the latter declined to accept any accountability.

All things considered, Imogen uses her action skills to emerge victorious but the question still remains, about Emir's desperation to get rid of Imogen.

The answer is simple, since Imogen has previously told Adilah who she is, Emir may interpret this as a warning of an upcoming threat to their planned attack.

It's also possible that Imogen's growing friendship with Adilah is viewed as a distraction by Emir, who feels that it could derail their terrorist attack.

Imogen was tasked with figuring out Adilah's true identity, which seemed to be veiled in mystery from the beginning of the series.

Imogen makes an effort to get to know Adilah as the narrative goes on, hoping to learn more about her.

Surprisingly, Adilah also seemed to have ulterior motives that she could only achieve through Imogen.

Adilah may have felt that Imogen was the only one who could help her achieve her goals of leading a tranquil life with her daughter and being clean about her past.

Also, it might be another trick of the ISIS commander, who may have been trying to play the same game as Imogen is playing with her. She may be posing as Imogen's ally in an attempt to obtain intelligence about the capabilities of the CIA and DGSE that could be helpful for ISIS.

Overall, the narrative keeps taking unexpected turns that are both intriguing and entertaining while staying true to its premises and with only two episodes left, it would be interesting to witness how things pan out for both Imogen and Adilah.
