Kevin Hart and Bryan Cranston are taking the heartwarming to the next level with their upcoming film 'The Upside' - at least that's what we gather from the trailer. Directed by Neil Burger and written by Jon Hartmere, the trailer shows an emotional and inspiring story with lots of wholesome comedy.

Inspired by the true story of Philippe Pozzo di Borgo, it is a remake of the French 2011 film 'The Intouchables.' The film follows a recently paroled ex-convict Dell Scott (Kevin Hart) who has 24 hours to get a job or he can bid his freedom goodbye. He runs into Nicole, who offers him an opportunity - of taking care of a paralyzed billionaire named Phillip Lacasse (Bryan Cranston). The two find an unlikely and unusual friend in each other and the film tells the story of their journey together.

The trailer has some really wholesome moments. The stark difference Dell and Phillip's life is as real as it is comical - like the two characters themselves. Both of them are dealing with scars of their own but they get by with a little help from each other. The quirky duo also has a lot of fun - they drive Phillip's expensive supercars, break a lot of stuff and Dell convinces Philip to go on a date. The trailer gives the impression that the film handles disability in a refreshing way. Bryan Cranston is fantastic as Phillip and Kevin Hart brings his signature style of comedy into the character of Dell. It will definitely be one of those flicks you can watch over and over again.

The film also stars Nicole Kidman as Yvonne, Genevieve Angelson as Jenny, Aja Naomi King as Latrice and Julianna Margulies as Lily. The film is set to hit theatres on January 11, 2019. 'The Upside' is an Escape Artists production and Jason Blumenthal, Todd Black and Steve Tisch serve as producers. The film's screenplay is by Jon Hartmere. The film premiered at the 2017 Toronto International Film Festival. It is distributed by STX Entertainment and Lantern Entertainment.
