British television personality and Ozzy Osbournes wife Sharon Osbourne has revealed that she recently tested positive for coronavirus and was briefly hospitalized following the diagnosis. She also revealed that she was currently recovering in self-isolation away from husband Ozzy.

'The Talk' host, 68, urged her fans to keep safe and healthy during the raging global pandemic as she focused on getting better as her daytime series is on a pre-planned hiatus. She took to Twitter on Monday, December 14, to share the latest update about her health. "I wanted to share I’ve tested positive for Covid 19," she tweeted. "After a brief hospitalization, I’m now recuperating at a location away from Ozzy (who has tested negative) while 'The Talk' is on scheduled hiatus. Everyone please stay safe and healthy."

Around the same time, Ozzy posted a photo on Instagram looking morose alongside his daughter, Kelly Osbourne, and musician Billy Morrison. "Bah Humbug from the Ghost of Christmas past back when you could gather safely," he captioned the photo.

News of Sharon's illness comes just days after her co-host, Carrie Ann Inaba, announced she had tested positive for the virus.

'The Talk' host Sheryl Underwood opened the show last week by revealing the news of Inaba's diagnosis. “As you can see, Carrie Ann is not here with us today. She found out this morning that she tested positive for Covid-19," she said. "Obviously our thoughts are with her. We love her and we pray for a full recovery." She then revealed that Sharon, who had previously tested negative for the virus, would film from home due to an abundance of caution

Over the weekend, the 'Dancing With the Stars' judge gave fans an update on her condition. Inaba wrote on her Instagram Story: “I’ve been in bed for the last few days. Body aches, low grade fever, chills… but today is the first day I’m up and moving around… Cautiously hopeful. She also thanked fans for their “incredible messages of love and support.” She wrote: “I am truly touched and feel lifted up. I can’t begin to thank you for the love.”

After revealing that she “can’t smell,” as she boiled onion, garlic and ginger in a pot, Inaba also posted another video on her Instagram Story while in bed, saying: “Good morning. I just wanted to pop on and say thank you for all of the beautiful messages of love and support that you guys have sent me. I really do believe love heals and a positive mindset helps so much when you’re sick.”

We previously reported that The ratings of CBS’ ‘The Talk’ have dropped to 1.5 million during the lockdown as a source told Page Six, "‘The Talk’ is literally the lowest-rated show in the whole CBS lineup." "Sharon Osbourne and Sheryl Underwood’s plan of getting rid of Marie Osmond was clearly a mistake in terms of ratings and number of viewers," the source further revealed.  Osmond said she left the show to spend more time with family and to “pursue other projects.” Temporarily, Amanda Kloots, Rumer Willis, and Elaine Welteroth were hosting ‘The Talk’ on rotation, last month, but are not able to get great numbers, which has left producers and executives “panicked and frustrated.”

'The Talk' was also planning to "tackle" more politics with its new host Welteroth to compete with its rival show 'The View'. The decision has reportedly been taken amid the show's plummeting ratings.
