'The Mess You Leave Behind': Meet Inma Cuesta, Roberto Enrique and rest of the cast of Spanish show on Netflix

The creators of the Spanish Netflix teen drama ‘Elite’ are all set to bring yet another show by them called ‘El desorden que dejas’ aka ‘The Mess You Leave Behind’. The thriller drama is based on the novel of the same name and follows Raquel, a young literature teacher who finds herself trying to unravel some of the darkest secrets in her husband’s birth town. Inma Cuesta

Inma Cuesta plays the lead role of Raquel in ‘The Mess You Leave Behind’. She was born in València, Spain. In 2005, she moved to Madrid to enroll in the Conservatory and School of Dance. The Spanish actress is best known for acting in 2015’s ‘The Bride’, ‘Anguia Roja’ and ‘Arde Madrid’. Cuesta’s films also include ‘Cafe solo con ellas’, ‘El kaseron’ and ‘The sleeping Voice’ among others. She is a recipient of the Goya awards, Spanish Actors Union Awards and Premios Feroz.

Roberto Enriquez

Spanish actor Roberto Enriquez is seen as Mauro in the Netflix series. He was born in Arganza but lives in Valladolid. He moved to Madrid late in life to pursue his acting career. Enriquez began his career with theatre and eventually moved to television. He made his debut with ‘Colegio Mayor’ in 1994. The actor played a lead role in the Spanish Netflix series ‘Vis a Vis' for which he won the XXV Union of Actors and Actresses Awards nomination. 

Barbara Lennie

Barbara Lennie is a Spanish actress who is popular for featuring in ‘Magical girl, ‘Obaba’ and ‘El Nino’. In ‘The Mess You Leave Behind’, she is seen as Viruca. Other films of Lennie’s include ‘Everybody Knows’, ‘Sunday’s Illness’, ‘A Sort of Family’, ‘Contrateimpo’ and ‘Magical Girl’. 

Tamar Novas

Tamar Novas appears as German in ‘The Mess You Leave Behind’. He was discovered by director Jose Luis Cuerda in 1998 when he was still in school. He began his career in cinemas with his debut in ‘The Tongue of Butterflies’.  The actor has been a part of several short films including ‘Isabel Isabellae’, ‘Area’, ‘Atopeite’ and ‘Benidorm 2017’. Novas’s television credits include ‘Poison’, ‘High seas’, ‘Down there’, ‘Farina’ and more. 

The rest of the cast of 'The Mess You Leave Behind' include Aron Piper, Alberto Abuin and Alfonso Agra among others. 

'The Mess You Leave Behind' premieres on December 11 on Netflix.
