'The Mandalorian' Season 3: Release date, plot, cast, trailer and all you need to know about third installment of Disney+ show
Spoilers for 'The Mandalorian' Season 2
With 'The Mandalorian' Season 2 ending with a blast, the next adventure will see Pedro Pascal's Din Djarin resume his adventures in the Galaxy and this time he will be without Baby Yoda/Grogu by his side. In the final minutes of the episode, Luke Skywalker makes a grand appearance and then takes Grogu under his care. This might break the hearts of Mando and Grogu fans, but his mission is now complete as the foundling is now under the care of a legendary Jedi.

Release date
The next season was slated to release on Christmas Day 2021. Whether this means the release will land on December 25 is a question, since 'The Mandalorian' has dropped this season on a Friday. In this case, we might be looking at a December 24 release
Plot
Speaking to People, Giancarlo Esposito, who plays Moff Gideon hinted at what's in store for Season 3: "We’re living in a universe that is huge and [that has] so much to explore. So I think this show is going to start to lay the groundwork for the depth and breadth that’s going to come in season three and season four, where you’re really gonna start to get answers." The show will most likely have a crossover with 'Ahsoka' and 'Rangers of the New Republic'.
Cast
Pedro Pascal is the only character confirmed to reprise his role as Din Djarin. By the looks of it, Gina Carano and Carl Weathers might be around too. Boba Fett (Temuera Morrison) and Fennec Shand (Ming-Na Wen) will be seen next in 'The Book of Boba Fett' releasing on December 2021
Writers/Directors
Dave Filoni and Jon Favreau will return as the creators. The directors for each episode are yet to be revealed.
