'The Good Doctor' fans left disappointed with rerun of Season 3 Episode 1 while waiting for an eventful Episode 6
It's Monday night and as has been a practice for the last two years, we all wait with bated breath for what's going to happen at the San Jose St. Bonaventure Hospital. But much to our disappointment, this Monday night left us hanging after a tension-ridden episode from last week.
'The Good Doctor' Season 3 Episode 5 ended with Shaun's failure to complete his first lead surgery. Meanwhile, Shaun and Carly have also moved to the "second base" of their relationship and Shaun is just about to take a step further, albeit in his own limitations of emotions.
Even the preview of episode six hints at more dramatic situations to ensue in Shaun's life. Hence, when fans were presented with a rerun of episode one of season three, not only was their anticipation killed, it left them in a cliffhanging tension.
Most of them took to Twitter to vent their frustration with the network and we couldn't agree more. After all, when an episode ends on an edgy note with promises of something too hopeful or too hopeless and you don't get to experience either, it can be an absolute downer for any viewer.
While some people went strong with their comments, others sounded more upset than angry.
One user commented, "These reruns are unacceptable @ABCNetwork Rerun of #TheGoodDoctor on the third episode of the new season? No." Another asked, "Why is #TheGoodDoctor running a rerun!!!????"
On the other hand, we have fans who seem rather confused, "That moment when you thought a new episode of #TheGoodDoctor comes on tonight, after not being able to watch last week's and turns out that's not the case and it's coming out Nov. 4th. Wow. I really played myself."
And there were more people, questioning the decision of the network to postpone the highly anticipated episode six and randomly air a rerun.
One user tweeted, "Why is 'The Good Doctor' on repeat? We just saw this .... #TheGoodDoctor," while another said, "Feelin' deja vu #TheGoodDoctor Checked guide. It's a repeat."
And although most people are upset, there are a few optimists who found their piece of the pie even in the rerun. One user tweeted, "The suspense is killer for next week's episode, but it was nice seeing Shaun's first date a second time! #TheGoodDoctor."
So, if you want to look at the bright side, the rerun could be a good opportunity to catch up on the season three opening, in case you have missed it.
'The Good Doctor' Season 3 Episode 1 takes off with Shaun attempting his first date with Carly. As a doctor, he has proven himself so far in every case but it's time to explore his emotions and embark on his romantic journey.
Episode 6 of ‘The Good Doctor’ Season 3 will air on November 4 at 10 pm ET / 9 p.m. exclusively on ABC.
