Why is 'The Flash' Season 7 delayed? Here's when to expect much-anticipated Barry and Iris reunion

Initially, 'The Flash' was slated to return with Season 7 on Tuesday, February 23, leading to the series premiere of 'Superman & Lois' (starring Tyler Hoechlin and Elizabeth Tulloch)

Sorry Arrowverse fans, you're going to have to wait a little longer to see if Iris (Candace Patton) makes it out of the Mirrorverse. Season 7 of the show has been delayed and its originally scheduled return has been preempted by the “premiere event” for the latest The CW series 'Superman & Lois'. Viewers got the hint during the Season 2 premiere of 'Batwoman'. Initially, 'The Flash' was slated to return with Season 7 on Tuesday, February 23, leading to the series premiere of 'Superman & Lois' (starring Tyler Hoechlin and Elizabeth Tulloch). Now, 'Superman & Lois' will air alone with a “two-hour premiere event” that sees a 90-minute episode of the new star with a special titled 'Superman & Lois: Legacy of Hope'. The brand-new special will also feature interviews from the cast of the new series, along with special guests discussing the legacy of the 'Man of Steel', according to TVLine.

Regarding 'The Flash', the scarlet speedster will grace our screens on March 2. The new season will premiere with three episodes left over from the previous season, as it had to be stalled due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Well, here's the lowdown on what happened in Season 6 of The CW Arrowverse show. As things stand, Barry Allen's (Grant Gustin) powers are dying quickly, and they need to create an artificial speed force, else he will be completely powerless. At the end of Season 6, we saw Iris disappearing in the Mirrorverse after she learns to control it. This could either mean that she is getting new powers too or maybe the neural dissonance got to her. Godspeed returned in Season 6 for a quick and hurried episode, which means that he could be the Big Bad in Season 7. Going by the trailer, there's a lot of drama that's yet to unfold. Barry will do anything to get Iris back, who is having a rather hard time in the Mirrorverse as she is seeing a 'product' of her broken mind. She's given the choice between survival and insanity. So, can we expect a West-Allen reunion soon?

So we have to wait till March to see what scarlet madness unfolds. Tune in on March 2 on The CW at 8 pm.
