When ‘Justice League’ arrived in theatres, everyone was pretty excited to see DC superheroes uniting on the big screen. Even though the movie turned out to be a huge flop, fans could not stop praising how Ezra Miller’s ‘Flash’ stole the show. Calls for Miller to be given his solo Flash project grew and Warner Bros did what people wanted. They announced the movie and said Michael Keaton’s version of Batman will also be making an appearance in the movie.

Everything was going smooth and it was undoubtedly one of the most highly-anticipated movies of 2023. However, the reports of Miller’s misconduct have killed almost all the buzz revolving around the movie. For the past few weeks, the top management of Warner Bros. is trying to find a way how to deal with the situation and it seems they have finally made a decision on what they want to do with a young actor who has severe off-set issues.

Ezra Miller gender battle rages as disgraced actor does a Flash and disappears

Deadline reports that WB has tried very hard to get help for the ‘Justice League’ actor, but the situation keeps getting worse because of troubling headlines that continue to pile up. According to a source, Miller will not be a part of any future DC projects after ‘The Flash’ “regardless if there are more allegations or not”. However, there has been no decision made on how WB and DC will deal with Miller’s involvement in ‘The Flash’.

The report also suggests that Warner Bros Discover CEO David Zaslav is keeping a close eye on the matter and wants to keep the scandal at a “low level” before the movie is released. “There is no winning in this for Warner Bros. This is an inherited problem for Zaslav. The hope is that the scandal will remain at a low level before the movie is released, and hope for the best to turn out,” a source told Deadline.

As soon as the news surfaced online, social media was quick to share their views on the report and said that WB should scrap the movie because it would be a PR nightmare for them. Also, some people want WB to quietly add the movie on HBO Max and look to the future.

One of the fans wrote, “Scrap this movie. It'd be a PR nightmare to have America's Most Wanted to star as a superhero. You can't do press tours/interviews without your main star. And it's not like this is redeemable. That ship sailed 4 crimes ago.” Another social media user said, “They should just drop it no matter what... of course so much money will be gone but releasing it with them in it would be so embarrassing and offensive, just make a new one with a new cast.”

Meanwhile, one of the fans wanted WB to recast the character and have someone who would “honor” the iconic comic-book superhero. “Freaking GOOD! Get this person away from The Flash. Scrub every bit of them from The Movie and recast a good actor that will honor the character,” the user said.

“What a f****ng waste. After multiple directors and writers, this character finally has a solo movie which Ezra Miller waited years to make. But they have now ruined their career because they refuse to get the help they so desperately need. WB making the correct decision here,” tweeted another user.

Another Twitter user wrote, “They should quietly add it to HBO Max, he shouldn't be used to promote the movie and is a liability.” Another social media enthusiast said, “Yeah, no way they are gonna reshoot most of the movie when Ezra is the main character. This is THE nightmare scenario for any movie company.”

This indeed is a nightmare scenario for any organization. However, this is not the first WB has had to make a drastic decision of not working with an actor. The production company dropped Johnny Depp from the second ‘Fantastic Beasts’ movie after the actor’s unsuccessful and hugely-publicized lawsuit in the UK. Warner Bros took the decision of replacing Depp with Mads Mikkelsen.

Meanwhile, in 2017, Sony had to deal with a similar kind of problem when numerous sexual misconduct allegations were made against Kevin Spacey before the release of ‘All the Money in the World’. Ridley Scott and Sony Pictures took the decision of replacing Spacey with Christopher Plummer. The reshoots cost $10 million.

Let’s see, what kind of acting WB takes in the ongoing matter.
