At the end of episode 6 of 'The Boys' Season 2, we saw Stormfront (Aya Cash) reveal to Homelander (Antony Starr) that she was the wife of the founder of Vought -- Frederick Vought. She explains how she was the first human to have been injected with Compound V and she expresses her belief at how the two of them together can take over the world with the support of millions of 'their' people. She locks this promise with a kiss and now that we know of her connection to Frederich, a Nazi doctor, we see that the two of them could have very well bonded over their racist interests.

Now, Stormfront has seduced Homelander too with the promise that he would be at the center of all the action. Homelander is so moved by Stormfront that he even suggests a meeting with his son Ryan who has so far been with Becca. The moment Stormfront lays her eyes on the little boy who happens to be the first human to have received powers genetically instead of being injected with Compound V, she is fascinated. The moment that the two of them gain Ryan's attention, Stormfront manipulates the child's feelings and within hours even leads him to believe that his mother is a liar and the two of them take Ryan away with them to Vought.

In the meantime, Starlight (Erin Moriarty) has been imprisoned. After her mother asks Vought permission to leave the city, the two are attacked, separated and Starlight is imprisoned. Hughie, who had been injured by one of the supe experiments at the hospital before is left to babysit Lamplighter who is expected to serve as the star witness at an upcoming Congress hearing. Now, despite all the noise around, Stormfront has a plan and that plan seems to involve ethnic cleansing. Her speeches to supporters are so inflammatory that it encourages a lonely young man to shoot a grocery store manager all because of suspicion that this man could be injected with Compound V.

The fact that Vought is introducing the Supe terrorists into the world is in itself something that the world is not aware of and after making information regarding Compound V public; Starlight and Hughie's friends -- Billy Butcher (Karl Urban), Mother's Milk (MM) (Laz Alonzo), Frenchie (Tomer Kapon) and Kimiko (Karen Fukuhara) -- attempt to make information about experimenting on humans to release them as a terrorist public. After all, Cindy (Ess Hödlmoser), the person who was capable of bursting human heads with thought is one such experiment. So Billy, MM, and the former CIA bigwig decide to head to Jonah, the doctor who raised Homelander and convince him (or more like blackmail him) to appear as a witness at this congress hearing. One of the Congresswoman, who has been raising her voice from the beginning against supes and Vought, is the one spearheading the hearing and in the process, she has been facing a lot of opposition from people who are followers of Stormfront and Homelander.

However, the plan flops beginning with their star witness. When Hughie finds out from a broadcast that Starlight has been captured as a betrayer and has been imprisoned, he decides to go to Vought with Lamplighter to rescue Starlight but he loses the star witness because Lamplighter decides to light himself up. However, this indirectly helps Starlight free herself and the two of them along with Starlight's mother escape from Vought with Hughie and surprisingly Maeve's help. Without the star witness, the team depends entirely on Jonah's testimony, and just as he is about to reveal the truth that would ruin Vought forever, his head is blasted.

Just as everyone around him watches in horror, one after another, the heads of people inside the hall are blasted which leaves the rest in fear. Even as everyone is scrambling around, both Homelander and Stormfront watch in surprise. Was this not part of Stormfront or Vought's plan? If not, is this Cindy? After all, Cindy had freed herself from the facility where supes were locked, so this could very well be revenge. Either way, the finale of the show's season 2 will give us a clear picture about who is on whose sides and who we should watch out for.

'The Boys' Season 2 new episodes will release on Fridays and can be streamed on Amazon Prime Video.
