The ‘Star Wars’ universe is huge and filled with several intriguing characters. Fans have been demanding a standalone movie on different characters, but it’s not easy. So when fans asked for a series about Boba Fett, Disney didn’t disappoint.

Titled ‘The Book of Boba Fett’, the upcoming Disney+ series is set to take viewers on an insightful journey into the darker criminal side of the ‘Star Wars’ world. The show revolves around one of the greatest bounty hunters in the franchise, Boba Fett (Temuera Morrison), and his mercenary friend Fennec Shand (Ming-Na Wen) trying to reclaim what they feel is rightfully theirs. However, the journey won’t be easy because there are many who are running behind the same thing.

When does ‘The Book of Boba Fett’ release and where can you watch it?

The upcoming action-adventure series will be premiering exclusively on Disney+ on Wednesday, December 27. According to the network, the episodes will be available for streaming at 3.01 am EST. Viewers can download the Disney+ app from the Google Play Store and Apple’s App Store to watch all their favorite shows.

What is ‘The Book of Boba Fett’ all about?

The official synopsis reads, “‘The Book of Boba Fett’, a thrilling Star Wars adventure, finds legendary bounty hunter Boba Fett and mercenary Fennec Shand navigating the Galaxy’s underworld when they return to the sands of Tatooine to stake their claim on the territory once ruled by Jabba the Hutt and his crime syndicate.”

Who stars in the upcoming Disney+ series?

Temuera Morrison will be seen playing the role of Boba Fett in the series while Ming-Na Wen portrays the mercenary Fennec Shand. On the other hand, Jennifer Beals also stars in a mysterious role.

The terrific actor from New Zealand began his acting in 1972 and worked in a lot of dramas in his home country. He made his Hollywood debut in ‘Barb Wire’ which was released in 1996. Since then, he has been seen in a wide range of projects. Some of his notable work includes ‘Speed 2: Cruise Control’, ‘Six Days, Seven Nights’, and ‘Vertical Limit’. However, his life completely changed when he was cast as Jango Fett in ‘Star Wars: Episode II – Attack of the Clones’.

Creators

Based on the characters made by George Lucas, the upcoming series has been directed by several notable personalities. Robert Rodrigues, Bryce Dallas Howard, Jon Favreau and others have directed the episodes of the series.

Rodriguez, Favreau, Dave Filoni, and Kathleen Kennedy serve as executive producers on the show.
