'The Biggest Loser': Delores gets eliminated after losing just a pound despite her best efforts in the gym
The blue team's winning streak in the team challenges has finally been broken by the red team. On the latest episode of 'The Biggest Loser', the red team executed their challenge of paddling across a lake while carrying 120 pounds of sandbag to perfection as a team and managed to secure their first-ever win this season.
Later during the final weigh-in, they managed to outperform the blue team thanks to the three pounds advantage they had from winning the team challenge. So the lowest performing member of the blue team got sent home, and unfortunately, it happened to be Delores Tomorrow.
The Chicago native came on the show weighing 280 pounds, and over the past three weeks, we saw her shed blood and tears as she worked out in the gym hoping to win the title of 'The Biggest Loser'.
Unfortunately for Delores despite her best attempts, and all the hard work, she lost only one pound this week, which meant she had to pack her bags and say her goodbyes.
She was so upset and heartbroken when she saw the number on the scale go from 258 pounds to 257 pounds. She later gets very emotional and expresses how even her best efforts weren't good enough.
She leaves the stage without saying her goodbyes to anyone on the show. Later in her green room interview, she shares how shattering it was for her to see her body not responding to all the effort she was putting in.
Delores, who runs a not-for-profit organization catering to teenage girls of color came on the show with hopes of setting an example to the girls and becoming their role-model. Thankfully, despite her exit from the competition, she hasn’t given up on maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
At the end of the episode, we saw a montage showing her life post the show. We see Delores taking small steps to ensure she stays healthy and still working out to make a conscious effort to eat clean.
You can catch all the new episodes of the reboot version of 'The Biggest Loser' every Tuesday at 9/8c only on USA Network.
