'The Bachelorette' Season 20 fans confused as Charity Lawson set to begin hometown dates in week 6: 'Production is broke'
NEW ORLEANS, LOUISIANA: It's only been a few weeks since Charity Lawson embarked on her quest for love on 'The Bachelorette' and yet we're only a few weeks away from the big finale. When the topic of hometown dates dropped on the July 24 episode of Season 20, fans of the series were left confused as they couldn't believe how quickly this season appeared to wrap up.
On Night 1, 25 men arrived at the mansion to meet Charity for the first time and go on their own adventures in the hopes of connecting with her. There were a few men who struck up an instant relationship with Charity and, as a result, earned more screen time than some of the others in the season. This has allowed us to monitor how their connections develop over the season and keep track of their time on the show. On the other hand, there have been just as many contestants this season who haven't had the same amount of screen time, making it tough to keep track of them.

'The Bachelorette' finale to air on August 21
Charity had already reduced her group of 25 to only six remaining contestants when the fifth episode of the season aired on Monday, July 24. As the season continues, here is a breakdown of the men still fighting for Charity's attention on the show: Aaron Bryant, Dotun Olubeko, Joey Graziadei, Sean McLaughlin, Tanner Courtad, and Xavier Bonner are among those who have participated.
Following the fifth episode of the season, Charity is expected to reduce the group to four, with episode six being labeled 'Hometowns'. Charity will be able to meet the families and friends of the last four remaining at that point before sending one more man home ahead of overnights. Charity is expected to cut the field down to two after the overnight dates, setting the stage for a three-hour finale on August 21 at 8/7c.
'Six left and I don’t know any of their names'
As soon as viewers saw six men opening the Monday episode, one viewer tweeted, "Am I living in an alternate reality or did we go from 20 guys to 6 in literally two weeks." One user asked, "I’m sorry there’s only SIX guys left???" Another guessed, "I’m convinced production is broke from the travel budget with Zach’s season. How are we still in the USA at top six?" A fourth fan quipped, "Six left and I don’t know any of their names lmao." Many users echoed this opinion, feeling like the show progressed too quickly. One user also asked, "SIX GUYS??? How did we even get here." Another inquired, "THATS A GUARANTEED HOMETOWN?? How are we almost at hometowns? Is Charity going to have a four part finale??" A fan also asked, "So… we know neither of these guys are getting a hometown right?"
