Gabby and Rachel were both finalists on Season 26 of 'The Bachelor,' which was led by Clayton Echard. "They said it was hell to film because they decided to have two Bachelorettes, like, last second," Nick remarked. So the schedule was set up for only one Bachelorette. They had to cram everything in. Former Bachelor Nick also claimed that producers would most likely not implement this format again due to the stress of shooting the season. "The people I talk to, they hope they never do it again. Just because of the logistics," he added. According to the Bachelor Nation alum, segments of the show would take place aboard a cruise ship, which provided several issues for producers.
Nick also discussed the show's parameters and how the ladies would interact with the guys, remarking that the show will be similar to 'Bachelor In Paradise.' "The thing about Paradise, what makes it different is people have options," Nick explained, but for Rachel and Gabby's season of 'The Bachelorette,' he believes that the showrunners would divide up the men early on, so that each girl will have her own season. "It would be like if two friends go to a bar and after the first night, they just decide — or go to a party and be like, ‘Who are you into?’ And they just kind of just decide," he adds. However, Nick said that there may be some crossover, with Rachel and Gabby perhaps dating the same person at some time.
Nick also stated that the show's producers are doing everything possible to guarantee that the ladies are working together rather than competing. Mike Fleiss, the show's creator and executive producer, also promised fans that Gabby and Rachel will not clash throughout the season.
