'The Bachelorette' fans accuse Joey Graziadei of using granddad's letter as 'automatic pass' to hometowns: 'Super tacky'
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: 'The Bachelorette' Season 20 contestant Joey Graziadei has impressed everyone with his sweet gestures. After scoring the "longest kiss in Bachelor Nation history" with Charity Lawson, Joey is off to set another benchmark. In Monday, July 10 episode of ABC's 'The Bachelorette' Season 20, we saw Joey bringing his grandfather's letters on the date.
Even though this was a heartwarming gesture, it seems to have done the opposite effect on the viewers. Where fans were meant to be taken away by Joey's sweetness as he brought his grandparent's letters on the table, many called it out to be "tacky." Moreover, some slammed the gesture, saying it was an attempt to move ahead in the show.
'Playing dead grandparent card is an automatic pass to hometowns'

Seeing him bring on the emotional side on the screen with his grandfather's letters, a fan tweeted, "Joey brings letters from his dead grampa to #TheBachelorette? Super tacky! But playing the ailing/dead grandparent card is an automatic pass to hometowns." Another slammed, "not joey’s grandpa letters." One fan wrote, "Joey showing the letters from his grandpa. I can’t." Seeing Joey bring the letters made one fan said, "Joey is getting the bachelor edit."
