'The Bachelorette' 2022: Mario bags the final rose, disappointed fans say 'the ick is showing up'
If Mario Vassall thought he was the bee's knees after bagging the first impression rose from Gabby Windey on 'The Bachelorette' Season 19, he may want to rethink it. The 31-year-old personal trainer was in for a harsh reality check when he ended up receiving the final rose on the recently aired episode of the ABC dating show.
Ahead of the season's first rose ceremony, the two bachelorettes- Rachel Recchia, and Gabby, took some time out to get to know all their suitors. Although Rachel knew that Mario was Gabby's first impression rose, she was still curious to get to know him. So she decided to have a fun little workout date with him. Though it appeared like the duo were having fun, fans slowly realized that Mario could be playing a game, as he kept referencing two bachelorettes constantly and seemed interested in both the ladies. So, when Mario received Rachel's final rose which saved him from being eliminated unlike Brandan, Colin, Ryan, Matt, Justin, and John, fans began having some strong feelings about it.

Several fans took to Twitter to express their displeasure over Mario receiving the final rose, while pointing out how he seemed bitter about getting the rose in the end instead of feeling grateful that he received one. A fan tweeted, "Mario literally didn’t do anything & they give him the last rose wtf #TheBachelorette." "Bold Prediction: Mario is on the way to self destruction after being picked last. #thebachelorette," wrote a fan. "Mario will be a villain before too long.. #TheBachelorette," echoed a fan.
