The Bachelor Season 24 : Sydney Hightower and Alayah Benavidez's scandal takes flight as Pete finds another secret
Peter Weber had his hands full on episode 3 of ABC's 'The Bachelor' and most of it was because of the Alayah and Sydney drama.
Alayah Benavidez and Sydney Hightower get down and dirty after an Extreme Pillow Fight Club challenge that leads to Sydney telling Peter that Alayah was just "doing it for the cameras".
It is quite unclear why this issue took off in the first place and looked a lot like it was just to further the storyline and make it spicy. Anyway, our girls really went at each other's throats and after a pool party turned into an interrogation spot, Victoria P spilled all the pageant drama beans for everyone to see.
As we know, Victoria P is Miss Louisiana 2019 and even made it to the top 15 in at the Miss USA pageant and Alayah is Miss Texas 2019. The two knew each other from earlier -- but Victoria claims that Alayah asked her to lie for her. She says that Alayah had been open to all opportunities after the show even if she didn't get the boy in the end and had told Victoria to lie to producers about having known each other. For some unknown reason, this had never seemed weird to Victoria right up until Sydney mentioned the whole "fake" subplot. "Maybe she's not the one for you," Victoria P. says.
After confronting Alayah about it, Peter is still unconvinced, although she tells him it was because she was afraid of getting disqualified. Petey, in an intense rose ceremony, lets her go along with Jasmine, Sarah and Alexa -- but appears to backtrack at the last moment. Pete's really rocking his own boat.
In other aspects of the show that weren't as dramatic, Kelsey and Hannah Ann talk it out after Champagne Gate, and while the conversation doesn't get anywhere, it does look like the bad blood between the two champagne lovers has subsided.
