The Bachelor Season 23 preview: Caelynn Keyes criticizes Hannah Godwin and is slammed by fans for her behavior
While we saw five women go home last week, (Katie, Sydney, Demi Burnett, Nicole, and Onyeka) we witnessed the entire episode revolve around a rollercoaster of romance and emotion.
Its Sunday, which means there's just one more day till 'The Bachelor' season 23 airs on ABC. While fans and viewers cannot wait to see what drama Monday's episode of 'The Bachelor' churns out, let's take a look at a small bit of the drama that happened last week and caught fans' attention.
While we saw five women go home last week, (Katie, Sydney, Demi Burnett, Nicole, and Onyeka) we even witnessed the entire episode revolve around a rollercoaster of romance and emotion. But through all that the show managed to give us a glimpse of the drama that happened due to a whirlwind of jealousy.
Hannah Godwin had her one-on-one date with Colton Underwood, and while she was out making the best of the time she got to spend alone with Underwood, Caelynn Keyes, our season's pageant queen begins trash-talking Godwin. It is clear that she did it out of jealousy, even though she wouldn't admit to it.
Talking about Godwin, Keyes says Godwin has, "relied on her beauty for so much of her life” and Keyes wonders if there is “some depth to her that we’re missing". That statement of Keyes, made her look extremely petty and fans did not like it. Especially because Keyes herself is a pageant queen.

That particular statement also made Keyes seem like she had no self-awareness, leaving fans wondering if Hannah Brown's claims about Keyes might be true after all. "I wonder if Caelynn has this idea that she [Caelynn] is so much more than just a pretty face? Since she has gone through a lot and Miss America has talent portions? So, basically she thinks she is better than just a pretty girl? Definitely not self aware for sure," wrote a fan. Another fan wrote, "I had to pause it and rewind to show my husband this. She’s criticizing someone else for relying on her looks when she’s a dadgum beauty queen. Bless her heart."
While another fan added, "This was the exact moment where I suddenly believed everything Hannah B had said and accused her of. The facade is definitely starting to crumble." Could Keyes have possibly started to give into the nerves she's been feeling since the competition started becoming tougher? Is this the true Keyes, a sinister one who trash talks?

I am overwhelmed right now. I am so grateful to Colton for not just listening, but hearing me. I am grateful to everyone at the Bachelor for allowing me to share my story in the way I wanted, and on my own terms. Most of all, I am truly grateful for everyone who has sent me messages telling me their stories of fear, bravery and strength. The world can be a really dark place sometimes, but these survivors who stand up and speak their truth, they remind me that there is good and light and that everything is not broken.
We may never understand why Keyes is behaving this way, but it does showcase that whatever Katie, Sydney, and Burnett told Underwood -- about him being around fake people -- might be true after all. Especially when it comes to Keyes. She might have been through a hard time in life, but that does not give her the reason to be petty.
While we do know Underwood has a soft corner for Keyes, we will have to wait and see if he ends up choosing her or sees her true colors.
