Kellie Wells-Brinkley and LaVonne Idlette are former Olympic hurdlers who came on the show with the hope that they will get the thrill of competition back into their lives. The pair had been looking forward to winning the game and started off the season strong. The first task required the teams to push the steel barrel to a festival in the hope of getting their clues.

The pair managed to do the task well. However, when it came to the second task, the pair struggled. The second task involved them to look at the numbers written on a fish and put them in the right place. Kellie had decided to do the task. However, she didn't realize how hard it would be for her.

While doing the task, Kellie revealed she is dyslexic and was having a hard time reading the numbers. She tried to understand the numbers and take her time. However, while doing so, the other teams had been moving forward. Despite this, she did not give up and went on. She finally managed to get the task done.

The pair thought their fears of being last were behind them when they saw other cast members working on task three. For this task, the team members had to learn how to play an instrument and make sure they got it right after learning the instrument. Kellie thought it would be a good idea to do the task.

However, she regretted it after finding out that the instrument was numbered. She knew it would be hard for her to learn the numbers, but knew she had to go on. Fans were quick to react to this incident. "Really feeling bad for the dyslexic girl in that team... That has to be hard," one wrote.

Some wondered why was she doing the task if it involved numbers and she had a problem. "But why let the dyslexic person look for the combination though?" read one comment. "I'm dyslexic. Numbers are a little tricky for me." SIS, why are you on the lock!?!" another questioned. "Dyslexic girl is thinking of in terms of numbers & defeating herself. She should think of it in terms of rhythm like she would any song she likes & dances to or sings. The numbers are actually not important if she just focuses on sound," another suggested. Kellie finally managed to finish the task.

Kellie and LaVonne were team number nine. They were glad that they were not the last, but their race was not over. Will Kellie face this situation again or can they plan better?

'The Amazing Race' airs on Wednesdays at 9 pm ET on CBS.
