'The Alienist: Angel Of Darkness' Season 2 Episode 5 Preview: Sarah is in danger as killer closes in on her
'The Alienist: Angel Of Darkness' is known for its pacey twists and turns that leave the fans breathless. Episode 4 had quite a few zingers, which kept viewers on the edge of their seats. While there was much tension between John Moore (Luke Evans) and Sarah Howard (Dakota Fanning), they had to put that aside and try to unravel the particularly nerve-wracking mystery of the missing infant. The trio is trying to track down a serial killer, coupled with the disappearance of two missing babies. Earlier, Martha Napp's baby was kidnapped and found dead in the departmental store. Linares's daughter Ana was kidnapped and found in the same store. In Episode 3, Lazlo Kreizler delved deep into hypnosis and tried to make Senora Linares relive the traumatic day and tried to fathom what exactly happened.
The trio discovered that the poison was sourced from Lyin-In Hospital, and initially, they suspected the Matron. The nurse named Libby offered information and promised to be a spy, but hey, turned out that Libby was the actual threat all along. Harmless Libby wasn't so harmless, and got away before Sarah and Kreizler could catch up to her. Libby inflicted some damage on Bitsy, just before she does so, but nothing that is entirely lasting. Whew.
In the next episode, another murder has taken place, as an employee of Lyin-In Hospital has been murdered in cold blood. The team pool in their resources to track down the murderer, but it is not going to be an easy one. And what makes this even more worrying, the killer has found their way to Sarah's office. So we can expect some more thrilling action, suspense and much intrigue. The synopsis for Episode 5 reads, "After a Lying-In Hospital employee is murdered, the team are now hot on the heels of the killer; Sara enlists the help of Joanna to tail their prime suspect; the gang find that not even Sara's office is out of the killer's reach."
In the midst of all this brewing tension and turmoil, John is busy trying to get married, and fans are convinced he is in love with Sarah. How will that pan out?
