'The Alienist: Angel of Darkness' Episode 2: Sara saves John from trouble, fans hope they 'end up together'
'The Alienist: Angel of Darkness' is well and truly underway. The latest installment sees the trio of Sara Howard (Dakota Fanning), John Moore (Luke Evans), and Dr Lazlo Kreizler (Daniel Bruhl) investigate the case of infant kidnapping. A Spanish dignitary's baby goes missing and the three launch an investigation that takes them into a dark and grisly conspiracy. In Episode 2 Something Wicked', John lands himself in trouble with the Dusters, a rowdy gang of killers, and is saved by Sara.
And despite the seriousness of the situation, fans had their "aww" moment when that happened. For a season now, there have been theories and wishes for Sara and John to get together. However, the latest season saw him engaged to Violet Hayward (Emily Barber), a wealthy socialite. Not that fans care as they sincerely hope for a Sara-John love story.

"John needs to tell Sara his feelings have not changed over the past year so she knows he's for real about them. #thealienist" reckoned one of the fans. "I am dressed for the night, John. "They fit perfectly together #TheAlienist" a fan tweeted while another said, "it was evident". Another tweet read: "it was much easier in season one when john and Sara could be as playful as they wanted to be, but now violet and the engagement is hanging above them, too. the cuteness and easiness are gone as of now. :( #thealienist"
"Neither John nor Cyrus can say no to Sara....#TheAlienist," a fan remarked. "John and Sara's witty remarks about each other's outfits got me like... #TheAlienist," a fan remarked. At the moment, the John-Sara relationship looks purely professional and we don't know if the writers have a romantic angle in mind. If they do, then these fans are sure to celebrate. But for now, there's a case to be solved.
