'The 100' Series Finale: Octavia saves the human race, fans call her 'the true hero of the story'
Spoilers for ‘The 100’ Season 7 Episode 16 'The Last War'
The series finale seems to be taking fans for a ride as the episode moves at such a fast pace. While we were waiting for human extinction since Clarke Griffin (Eliza Taylor) fails the test and Lexa (Alycia Debnam-Carey) deems that the human race doesn't deserve to transcend. When Clarke comes back to Bardo and tells Raven Reyes (Lindsey Morgan) that she didn't pass the test, Raven gets a visit from Clarke's mother Abby Griffin (Paige Turco). From there, the episodes takes a turn.
"Octavia has always and will forever be my favorite character in the entire series. She has been by far the most developed, interesting, versatile and badass character out of everybody. The baddest b***h will always win! #The100," wrote one fan. Another added, "Anyways all i have to say is. OCTAVIA BLAKE BEST CHARACTER. and she saved them all, yet again. #the100"

Abby takes Raven to where the Wonkru and the Disciples are ready to go to war, showing Raven that the human race can't change for the better. Although Raven tries to stop them, Abby tells her that no one can see her. But, fortunately, when all faith was lost and it seemed that the human race is doomed for a nasty end, Octavia Blake (Marie Avgeropoulos) saves the day. She screams that enough is enough, that if they keep fighting, there will be no one to fight for. "For all mankind," she screams. That monologue was probably the most vital part of the episode as we saw it mirror humans as they are now, in our real world. In a sense, it was almost biblical. She reminded everyone that her brother Bellamy Blake (Bob Morley) died believing that humans could transcend.
"Raven went into the thing and convinced them they were worth it and then octavia talked the people out of the war. they f**king did it. they saved them, again. #The100," tweeted a fan.

It is then that everyone put their weapons down "for all mankind" and Raven reminded Abby that humans can change, it's just that we need time. Thanks to this, everyone who wasn't dead, was finally able to transcend - turns out, Bellamy was right all along. "Bellamy would be so proud of octavia #The100 #MayWeMeetAgain," tweeted another fan. Yet another fan thanked the series for such an amazing character tweeting, "We have come to the end of the 7 year adventure. I learned a lot from Octavia Blake, it inspired me, I have known a wonderful woman on behalf of Marie Avgeropoulos, I would like to meet you one day, it is very difficult for me to say goodbye."
