'Teen Mom OG': Will show have a quarantine edition? Here's what you can expect from the upcoming season
Teen Mom OG's last season gave viewers a lot of drama. Right from Amber Portwood introducing her new boyfriend to Tyler and Caitlynn Baltierra trying to deal with their friend who was trying to get sober. The show also had some emotional moments as it showed Mckenzie McKee dealing with the loss of her mother who died after battling cancer for years.
While MTV has not yet confirmed any news about the new season, speaking to the Domenick Nati Show, Mackenzie was quick to reveal that they had planned to self-shoot the show but it did not seem to work. The reality star further explained that a self-shot episode for 'Teen Mom OG' could not work because the possibility of the stars getting the camera when the real drama is going on was less.
Keeping this in mind, a new season is not out of the picture yet. Mackenzie hinted that MTV wanted to get back to shooting the new season but they would be keeping all the rules and regulations in mind to make sure everyone's health is protected amid the pandemic. Even though she did not spill a lot of details on what one could expect, looking at the previous season, the story of these cast members is likely to continue.
Mckenzie and her husband, Josh McKee, have been having a fallout and she confirmed that they are not living together anymore. While the two are not yet divorced, they have stopped wearing their wedding rings and would be open to seeing other people. The coming season might highlight what had happened while reflecting on the feud between the two when she accused him of cheating with her cousin.
Meanwhile, the show may also give more details on where does Amber stands with her new boyfriend, Dimitri Garcia. He and Amber were going strong and he had a chance to meet his daughter. Catelynn and Tyler Baltierra might continue expanding their business and focus on raising their children.
One thing different about the show would be the absence of Taylor Selfridge. Taylor was fired by MTV for some of the racist statements she had made in the past. However, Cory Wharton will continue to come on the show along with Cheyenne Floyd.
