American singer-songwriter, Taylor Swift has canceled all of her live appearances and performances for the year 2020 amid the COVID-19 pandemic - including 'Lover Fest East' and 'Lover Fest West.' While the exact date of the shows has not been released, they will happen next year in 2021. Her fan base wasted no time chiming in with full support, noting that this was the best decision so everyone can be safe and sound.

"We understand and we love you queen. stay safe," tweeted a fan.

Swift took to social media to inform her intense fan base, sweetly known as the Swifties, of the confirmed cancelations. The tweet read, "I'm so sad I won't be able to see you guys in concert this year, but I know this is the right decision. Please, please stay healthy and safe. I’ll see you on stage as soon as I can but right now what’s important is committing to this quarantine, for the sake of all of us." This was followed by an image of the official statement.

"Thank you so much for rescheduling and wishing us well, we all understand the decision and can’t wait to party with you in 2021. Stay safe," tweeted a fan.

"DEAR SWEET TAYLOR, THIS IS DEFINITELY THE RIGHT DECISION AND THANK YOU FOR CARING SO SO SO MUCH! PLEASE STAY SAFE AND KNOW SWIFTIES ARE SENDING YOU A WORLDWIDE VIRTUAL HUG!  DEFINITELY KEEPING MY TICKETS FOR NEXT YEAR! ILYSM!  #LoverFestWest #LoverFestEast," tweeted another fan.

Part of the official statement read: "Fighting COVID-19 is an unprecedented challenge for our global community and the safety and wellbeing of fans should always be the top priority. Health organizations and governments around the world have strongly discouraged large public gatherings for an undetermined period of time. With many events throughout the world already canceled, and upon direction from health officials in an effort to keep fans safe and help prevent the spread of COVID-19, sadly the decision has been made to cancel all Taylor Swift live appearances and performances this year. The U.S. and Brazil shows will be rescheduled to take place in 2021, with dates to be announced later this year."

"Brazilians won, thank you Taylor see you in 2021," tweeted a fan.

"It’s such an upsetting time but we know we will be with you celebrating Lover altogether soon! We HAVE to celebrate because YOU OWN all of this album and we are so proud of you. Please keep safe. I had the time of my life fighting dragons with you," tweeted another fan.

The statement also promised that tickets held for each of the US and Brazil shows will transfer to the new show date and fans wouldn't have to lift a finger. Refunds were also said to be beginning on May 1, "subject to Ticketmaster terms." The statement ended with, "Thank you so much for understanding. We look forward to seeing you all, happy and healthy, in the future."

Swifties will be happy to know that Swift will still appear on the Lady Gaga-curated 'One World: Together at Home' special, set to air on Saturday, April 18, 2020.

"We understand and love you queen looking forward to seeing you at the Together At Home concert with queen Gaga," tweeted another fan.
